Dream Quartet: Ana Carolina, Claudia Leitte, Daniela Mercury and Ivete Sangalo

Hello everyone. This is women's month history. I am doing dream duets, trios and quartets as well. This is will be dedicated to women around the world. This edition is a quartet of four great Brazilian female artists.

I am speaking about Ana Carolina, Claudia Leitte, Daniela Mercury and Ivete Sangalo. The latter three have sung together in many performances. Recently Claudia and Ivette performed at the Brazilian carnival. It was highly successful and fans were very ecstatic about the performance. When I saw that performance, I was thinking it would be nice if another place could get festival where we could get Claudia and Ivete with two more singers with them.

It would be a relax setting with romantic songs in pleasures for all the fans who love their voices. I would Ana Carolina and Daniela Mercury. It can be done a dancing manner or a slow manner however these singers would like to be done.

Here are four songs that I have found that these four singers would fit it without worry.

OK here are the following songs

Resta: Ana Carolina with Chiara Civello (Studio Version)

Tô Samba da Vida: Daniela Mercury (Studio Version)

Não me compares: Ivete Sangalo with Alejandro Sanz (Studio Version)

Corazón: Claudia Leitte with Ivete Sangalo (Live Version)

These four songs exemplify perfect balances between slow and more romantic style songs while you also have a Samba influenced songs. Also you have good news with these ladies. Ana is very good with guitar and Claudia can also play the guitar if she is in the mood with Ivete very good at drumming. I will show one photo of Ivete Sangalo playing drums.

I think if this quartet were to happen, it would need to happen in a festival where tons of fans would be there to witness. Or if this quartet were to happen in a studio, the producers need to make sure that these four ladies are comfortable. That is important to make sure that this quartet is successful. Don't forget, they are the big stars of Brazil and they have busy lives, if people want them to work well, then do these steps.

Dream Duet: Ana Barbara and Malú

Hello everyone. This is women's month history. I am doing dream duets, trios and quartets as well. This is will be dedicated to women around the world. The next two editions will be dream duets dedicated to Spanish women.

Second part of the duet editions are two great female Spanish singers that are very sexy and very charming. This is final Spanish women edition.

I am speaking of Ana Barbara and Malú. These two Spanish singers would be perfect together. I know these singers are relaxing kind of singers. Their job musically is to relax you when you feel very stressed out. When I hear their voices, that is my feeling with them. Sometimes we need that because life is so hard and super complicated. I mean excessively complicated. The ones that I selected fit this description perfectly. Ana Barbara and Malu would be good for relaxing people and relieving people in a musical sense.

I got one song to fit this great example for my thinking.

This song is callaed Quise Olvidar which I think means who forgets. This song that Ana Barbara sang with Carolina Ross. I think this song could also be done well with a individual like Malú.  She has a good low voice while Ana Barbara can sing high effectively but with a big masculine twist on it. Also the harmony would have made the song a bit softer than I heard on that video that I am showing to you guys.

I hopeful that someone can get these two wonderful singers together and make some beautiful harmonies together for fans that love theirs voices. It would be a great idea and something definitively new.

Dream Duet: Edith Marquez and Monica Naranjo

Hello everyone. This is women's month history. I am doing dream duets, trios and quartets as well. This is will be dedicated to women around the world. The next two editions will be dream duets dedicated to Spanish women.

First part of the duet editions are two great female Spanish singers that are very sexy and very charming.

I am speaking about Edith Marquez and Monica Naranjo. Why would I select these two wonderful female Spanish women. It is because they are opposites attract but both have beautiful vibratos. They are just hopeless romantics who have enormous emotions. They can have moments of joy and then at other times, they can have moments of sadness. They do their best to give music that people can love. I can see them combine their styles. I think they can play their styles together. Monica Naranjo is more pop sounding while Edith Marquez is more traditional with her music.

I have two songs that I think would help these two wonderful ladies to remix with lovely harmonies

These songs are the ones that they should sing together. The first song is Monica's famous song Jamas which means in Spanish "Never". The second song is Edith's song is Aunque Sea en Otra Vida which means in Spanish "No sea in another life". These songs would good for these two women to harominze espcially both of these songs are themes of sadness. Why? Because they are very effective emotional singers and they know how to get into your hearts in their music. I think their voices would meld together especially their lovely vibratos that they posses in their voices.

I hope one day that these two women sing together and maybe make a dream duet album. It would be nice for Spanish music fans.

Dream Duet: Abby Suriya and Mpongo Love

This is women's history month and I want to focus on Congolese women singers that they have yet to sing together or the ones that should have sung together. I got two Congolese ladies that I selected for you guys for today.

The subjects today are Abby Suriya and the late Mpongo Love. The latter is mother to Sandra Mpongo who is also a singer herself. I actually think if Mpongo had lived longer, I believed that she would have sung with a woman like Abby Suriya. That would have the good idea of them singing together. These two female singers are like opposites attract but it is perfect for us. Abby Suriya is a romantic singer but more expressive in her tone. Mpongo Love is also a romantic singer but softer in her tone. This would be a great musical match. Mpongo's voice a female version of Ntesa in a sense where her voice is very jolly. Abby Suriya's voice is a female version of combinations of Shimita, Solo Sita and Carlyto whom she sang with in the past.

One reason that they would have and should have sung together would because they both worked with former soccer legend Mayaula Mayoni. They had the luxuries to work with him. Abby appeared on Mayaula Mayoni's Ousmane Bakyoko and Bikini. Mpongo got her name going on Mayoni's song Ndaya which she sang with saxophonist Empompo Loway.

Speaking on Ndaya. That would be one of the songs that would have been perfect for Abby Suriya and Mpongo Love. Mpongo singing high with Abby singing low. There is another song that would have been perfect. It is also from Mayaula Mayoni. The song he did for Tshala Muana. It is called Nasi Mobali.

Here is the songs

NDAYA

NASI NABALI

If they had sung together, it would have good for Congolese music fans who love female singers more.

Second and final series of Congolese women in Dream Duets.

Dream Duet: Barbara Kanam and Cindy Le Coeur

This is women's history month and I want to focus on Congolese women singers that they have yet to sing together or the ones that should have sung together. I got two Congolese ladies that I selected for you guys for today.

They are Barbara Kanam and Cindy le Coeur or some say Cyndy le Coeur. Technically the same in my view anyway. Why did I select these two as a dream duo.

Because they are both are effective as romantic fanatics. Also, they have soft voices which I know pleases some folks who prefer softer voices. However there is a nice difference between Barbara Kanam and Cindy le Coeur. Cindy's soft voice is very feminine and pretty high while Barbara's voice is much more masculine and in the middle range in the female standard. In other words, not low enough or high enough. That is exactly why these two women must sing together. If Koffi Olomide wanted more money, he should encourage Cindy and Barbara to do a few duet songs together so he can get be involved in the guitar and musical production side. Koffi is good at playing the guitar if some don't know.

I found five Koffi Olomide songs that Barbara Kanam and Cindy Le Coeur should sing together. Koffi Olomide would only play guitar in these scenarios.

1) Diabolos (2008)

2) Drapeau Blanc (2003)

3) Micko (1997)
4) Lovemycine (2008)

5) Classe Tendresse (1993)

These five songs would have been perfect especially the last one. I am speaking to the song Classe Tendresse. This song would be perfect for these two women to make beautiful harmony and the lead vocals to be equal between Barbara and Cindy. This song would fit their soft voices well in my humble opinion. Then add to Koffi Olomide's guitar in it, it would be a song in the standard of MOPAO.

Koffi fans should encourage him to arrange a duet between Cindy Le Coeur and Barbara Kanam. Agree or disagree?

First edition of Congolese Women special of Dream Duets.

Dream Duet: Desouza Santu and Josky Kiambukuta (JOSKY TRIBUTE)

This is Josky tribute time. We lost a great singer who was sick but not sick enough where he was near it. So we will do a Dream Duet edition in tribute to Josky. This singer was considered a Evoloko prototype.

He is Desouza Santu. He also is called and rightfully so as Desouza Santu Mungongo Elengi. I like that title. His voice is like that. He used to sing with Evoloko, Bimi Ombale and Pepe Kalle. He is one incredibe vocalist in my opinion. He is a solo artist and was very present on Biya Chante's album Cocktail. He recently released his EP Arobase which has his big song called Maman Bonheur. Check this song here

Desouza Santu has shown in the song that he is pretty good as a multi-tasker in sense of singing. Also this song is a very good Rumba song in the current Congolese music scene. Desouza's multi-choir singing was solid and his voice was pretty solid. I am sure this man must be at least 56 years old. He is very justified to be called Desouza Santu Mongongo Elengi. MONGONGO ELENGI.

The Maman Bonheur song got me thinking about which OKJ singer would have been perfect with Desouza Santu. It is Josky without doubt. These two men would have been gold together musically.

I will give you four reasons why they would have been perfect together?

1) They are effective of the Africa Fiesta school sense of singing.

2) They are great multi-taskers musically.

3) They have solid songs on Rumba.

4)  They know well where they stand vocally

Fourth reason leading to me how they would sing together. Josky would sing in the low/middle note and Desouza Santu would sing in the high note. I am sure Josky would have had a blast singing with Desouza Santu. I think Josky should got Simaro to recruit Desouza Santu into Bana OK. Desouza had a voice well made for Bana OK. He was a good animator like Bana OK singer Shakembo. Shakembo was a good animator. But for a few Josky songs, Desouza could take over and put his own twist on animations. Desouza was a solid animator.

Which leads to me being which song would be perfect for Desouza Santu and Josky Kiambukuta.

The song here is called Point Faible. This song was on Josky's 1999 solo album POINT FAIBLE. This song should be a great duo song in my opinion. Josky can sing lead while Desouza and Josky do harmonies together. Also another reason why this song would be perfect is because Desouza Santu would do the animations. Desouza was a good animators during the final years of Empire Bakuba.

That will be end of the Josky Kiambukuta tribute dream duet editions. Josky will remain one of the greatest Congolese singers to ever live.

Dream Duet: Josky Kiambukuta and Papy Tex (JOSKY TRIBUTE)

This is Josky tribute time. We lost a great singer who was sick but not sick enough where he was near it. So we will do a Dream Duet edition in tribute to Josky. This singer was among the co-founders of Empire Bakuba.

I am speaking of Jean Dode Matolu better known as Papy Tex. He is known as a great friend and a great music collaborator of Pepe Kalle. Unlike Pepe Kalle, Papy Tex was very good with making sweet love songs. Something Josky was also very good at. No wonder why he was called Djo Sex. I wonder why Papy Tex was not called something closed to that. Anyway, Josky and Papy Tex were very good at pleasing women and making them wonder about their love lives. That is when you know  that you are good with romance in music.

One big reason why Josky and Papy Tex should have worked together is because they are from the same Tabu Ley school. Their vocal tones are somewhat identical in a sense where they are emotional but also romantic which is why many ladies loved them. That was something Tabu Ley was very good at. Their ability to be emotional but yet romantic at the same time helped them become valuable singers.

I got ten songs that I will select for you.

Papy Tex: Welcome

Papy Tex: Yawe

Papy Tex: Aideu Leya

Josky: Aziza

Josky: Maby

Josky: Monzo

Josky: Spiritus Santus

Josky: Mehida

Tabu Ley: Ponce Pilate

Grand Kalle: Coco qui est la

These songs would have been very good for Josky and Papy Tex. I think the songs that would that be the best to do is Papy Tex's Aideu Leya, Josky's Mehida and Grand Kalle's Coco qui est la. These songs would have shown the beautiful harmonies between Josky and Papy Tex. Papy Tex is from Grand Kalle music of singing. Josky is a product of Africa Jazz vis a vis of Africa Fiesta style of singing. Aideu Leya would work because Josky is good at giving emotions in a song and this song is very personal from Papy Tex and Papy would have appreciated Josky's musical support in a emotional sense. Mehida would work very well because I felt there was a little off balance between the harmonies. I felt this song was a more of a two part choir part. One person who would have improved this song would have been Papy Tex. Josky and Papy Tex would have made the song more complete also Papy's high singing was very good usually. Coco qui est la would also be very good because Papy Tex would have made his own twist in this romantic hit. This song is in fact like hide and seek. I know that Papy Tex was known for this in his love songs. Then add Josky's voice with Papy, you are talking two men who effectively can sing this Grand Kalle song with more convincing.

Josky and Papy Tex would have been a great musical duo for a nzonzing project especially with the songs Aideu Leya, Mehida and Coco qui est la.

Dream Duet: Felix Wazekwa and Josky Kiambukuta (JOSKY TRIBUTE)

This is Josky tribute time. We lost a great singer who was sick but not sick enough where he was near it. So we will do a Dream Duet edition in tribute to Josky. This singer used to be a songwriter for Koffi Olomide and Papa Wemba

I am speaking of Felix Wazekwa. He is the one known for songwriting before becoming a singer with his own band Culture A Pays Vie. Felix Wazekwa is a second voice type of singer but he can also sing high whenever he sees fit. He did it earlier with Bozi Boziana and Tabu Ley. I am talking before he formed his band Culture A Pays Vie. His three solo albums that are excellent to hear and I can dance to any day in anytime. Classic albums. Josky would have been a good addition also the earlier classic works of Felix Wazekwa.

In fact I have three songs that would have been perfect for the pairing between Felix Wazekwa and Josky Kiambukuta.

Song one BLEU D'ESPERANCE

Song two EZA VERBE

Song three BOKONO

These three songs would have been better with addition of the voice of Josky Kiambukuta. Why you ask? Especially on the Felix repition or double singing, it would have been good with a voice of Josky. Because Josky can allow Felix to sing a bit higher or have a better sound on the songs especially the song Bokono. Josky would have added a brash sound with Felix's soft voice.

There is no doubt in my mind that Felix Wazekwa would have been very good with Josky musically.

Dream Duet: Djenga Esperant Kisangani and Josky Kiambukuta (JOSKY TRIBUTE)

This is Josky tribute time. We lost a great singer who was sick but not sick enough where he was near it. So we will do a Dream Duet edition in tribute to Josky. This singer was a singer that came from Viva La Musica.

He is Djenga Esperant Kisangani. He started out as a member of Viva La Musica from Papa Wemba. He then was a singer of Langa Langa Stars and then went solo before briefly returning as a member of Viva La Musica. He always managed to make some good nzonzing records.

One shocking thing is that Esperant and Josky never sung together. Josky sung with Papa Wemba but never sang with Esperant. One reason is that these men should have sung together is that Esperant has a similar tone to Sam Mangwana. When I listen to Esperant, I get a little reminder of lighter version of Sam Mangwana. That is why Josky and Esperant should have sung together.

Also there is a Esperant record that I posted that is a great song.  It would have been much better if a Josky voice had sung along with Esperant. Here is the song that I am alluding to.

This song is called Seringue. It is a great song where Esperant sung very well and his triple singing was solid. But I know the song would have been done if Josky had added his vocals to the song.

Rest in peace to these great singers.

Dream Duet: Josky Kiambukuta and Nzaya Nzayadio (JOSKY TRIBUTE)

This the Josky tribute time. We lost a great singer who was sick but not sick enough where he was near it. So we will do a Dream Duet edition in tribute to Josky. I got the first singer who also passed away in the month or two before Josky.

He is Nzaya Nzayadio. For those who don't know, Nzaya Nzayadio was a major member of Lipua Lipua. He was also a member of Choc Stars. He is known to have a similar voice to Pepe Kalle. This man had a opera sounding voice as a second voice singer.

Why would have he been a perfect dream partner for Josky. I will give you five reasons.
1) Josky is a great harmonist
2) Nzaya would have been a great fit for the Afrisa or OKJ group
3) Both are connected to Madilu System
4) Rarely had bad songs. Really.
5) Josky used to have a good high voice.

Josky was actually pretty good at singing high at time during his prime days in OK Jazz. He actually sang high sometimes during the 1970s and very rarely during the 1980s. He sang high with Madilu on their 1989 LP Destin. He was pretty effective. But Nzaya also sang high occasionally. Both were capable of singing high sometimes which is not always the case for the second voice singers.

Both of these men were from a similar generation of the Zaiko age. They both rarely had bad songs which is not often for many great artists as well as singers. This is why I believe Josky Kiambukuta and Nzaya Nzayadio would have been a great duo. They both would have great harmonies for the OKJ and Lipua Lipua communities.

Rest in peace to both men

Hello Josky,

We miss you so much. You were a great artist to us. You made great musical contributions to Africa Fiesta Sukisa of Nico Kasanda alias Dr. Nico and Le TPOK Jazz of Luambo Makiadi alias Franco. You were the one who made incredible and memorable love songs for all of us. Today you have left us but we stay here on earth with all the good songs that you produced. From periods of Africa Fiesta Sukisa to Bana OK. Bana OK is your band alongside with late poet Lutumba Simaro Masiya. People need to know that. It was you that founded Bana OK. Without you, perhaps more problems would have risen for everyone. I mean EVERYONE. It was you that saved everyone. You were someone who was selfless and cared about everyone. Unfortunately, there were people that did not appreciate your selflessness and took advantage of your good personality that you had. But don't worry, God has called you home. You are, you were and you always be loved by most of us. We are, we were, and we always appreciate the great art that you left us on this earth.
