Dream Duet: Papy Tex and Pepe Ndombe

 

We got a dream duet edition of dedication of Papy Tex. We got two people that I think Papy Tex should have sung with. This is the first edition. Who is the first act that should have sung with Papy Tex. This man was the singer that got to sing with both Franco and Tabu Ley. He is known to have a similar voice to Tabu Ley but is better singing lower. He is one of the key players of Bana OK? Who am I speaking about?

Ndombe Opetum or many people call Pepe Ndombe. Pepe Ndombe would have been a great partner to Papy Tex. Why? Because as I mentioned he is the lower version of Tabu Ley. Papy Tex is heavily influenced by Tabu Ley. Papy Tex does sound similar to Tabu Ley but more softer with his voice. Like Tabu Ley, Ndombe and Papy Tex were romantic kind of singers and knew how to impress ladies with their ladies. Their voices have remained strong over the years. I have twenty songs that would reflect the beautiful reflection of these two men.

These songs would have fitted well Ndombe and Papy Tex because their voices are Tabu Ley school with two different levels. Also I know Papy Tex and Pepe Ndombe would have assisted well with the songs because both are hard workers as singers and they know how to sing professionally at all times. This is part of the reason why I believe that Papy Tex and Pepe Ndombe would have been the perfect musical couple. 

I know if someone had a Tabu Ley tribute special, I would have chosen Papy Tex and Pepe Ndombe. Because when they would sing Tabu Ley songs, I know people would enjoy the voices of Papy Tex and Pepe Ndombe. Also they would have made the ladies go insane with Tabu Ley's earlier songs because I know that ladies would feel very attached to their voices. 

Papy Tex and Pepe Ndombe would have been one perfect duo.

Dream Duet: Kwamy Munsi and Papy Tex

 

We got a dream duet edition of dedication of Papy Tex. We got two people that I think Papy Tex should have sung with. This is the first edition. Who is the second act that should have sung with Papy Tex. This man was the singer that got to sing with both Franco and Tabu Ley. He would play with Franco during the 1960s era and return to Franco in 1970 until 1972. He would end up singing with Tabu Ley until his death in 1982. He would also sing with Grand Kalle at one point and had a band called Orchestre Revolution. Who is the person that I am speaking of?

I am speaking of Kwamy Munsi. Kwamy is one good singer. He is better than accredited for. Some people say that Kwamy was average but I disagree completely. Kwamy actually sang well. I will show you an example where Kwamy sounded more than average 

The song here is called Mbanda na Ngai. He sang this song with Mujos and Franco the legend. He started with Mujos and then harmonized with Franco. Kwamy made a short vocal and it sounded pretty good. So to say that Kwamy was average is laughable. Even Franco was not average. Sure Franco was not the best singer but he could sing and hold notes pretty well. Let's be reasonable. Franco and Kwamy Munsi were good singers and great harmonists. 

Kwamy Munsi would be the God scent musical partner for Papy Tex. Kwamy has a soft voice and he would be very good for a voice of a Papy Tex. Listen to how he sang with Youlou Mabiala and Vicky Longomba as well as Grand Kalle and Tabu Ley. Four great tenorists all were perfect in harmonizing with Kwamy himself. He created a soft yet strong vocal singing. Something Dilu Dilumona himself spoke about within influence of Kwamy in even the musical voice of Ferre Gola

So you can see that Kwamy made his mark in singing. Back to Kwamy and Papy Tex, here are six songs that would have fitted their voices together.

These songs would have shown the strong force between Kwamy Munsi and Papy Tex. Because they show great emotion and it gives you the idea of the what the songs are about. Also they fit the Grand Kalle music in their perspective. Kwamy as a second voice singer and Papy Tex as a first voice singer. These two men would have definitively given great joy the Congolese music population. Music fans should know this especially since they were good at love songs and were perfect harmonists. 

I know that Papy Tex would have been very good with Kwamy Munsi. I also know that Kwamy would have a great time with Papy Tex. In part because Kwamy had strong connection with Tabu Ley during his final years. Imagine if someone got Kwamy with Papy Tex, you would have a great nzonzing project. No debate about.

Pourquoi Pepe Kalle avait raison pour ne joindre pas L'OK Jazz du Grand Maître Franco?

 

Bonjour à tous. J'espère que vous allez bien. Je vais faire deux postes de la polémique. La polémique dans le bon sens. Je faisais deux postes du Grand Maître Franco contre Géantafrique Pepe Kalle. Je vais parler de Pepe Kalle comme un emploi du Grand Maître Franco. Je l'ai dit. Ce n'est pas ma pensée mais il y a des gens qui pensent que Pepe Kalle serait mieux sous la direction d'un autre artiste.

Ce cas sera sur pourquoi Pepe Kalle avait raison pour ne joindre pas L'OK Jazz du Grand Maître Franco?

Je vais vous donner sept raisons lesquelles Pepe Kalle a fait du choix correct ne joindre pas Le TPOK Jazz de Franco. 

1)  Papy Tex serait seul ou sera allé jouer pour un autre orchestre. 

2) Pepe Kalle would have only done nzonzings with Papy Tex. Pepe Kalle aurait fait des nzonzings avec son ami d'enfance Papy Tex seulement. 

3) Probablement, Madilu n'aurait jamais été un membre de L'OK Jazz.

4) Pepe Kalle avait déjà un orchestre qui fonctionnait très bien dans la scène musicale Congolaise. 

5) Franco n'avait jamais besoin instamment de l'individu comme Pepe Kalle. 

6) Un plus grand conflit aurait fait entre Franco et Verckys 

7) Pepe Kalle avait son destin propre comme une grande étoile. 

La raison finale est plus important laquelle je peux dire que Pepe Kalle avait raison pour ne joindre pas L'OK Jazz du Grand Maître Franco. Dans mon point de vue, Pepe Kalle avait son destin propre comme une grande étoile. Pepe Kalle un destin pour diriger son orchestre propre. En plus, il avait son ami d'enfance s'appelle Papy Tex et plus tard, il trouvait un autre ami Dilu Dilumona. 

Pépé Kalle était quelqu'un qui avait le vedattariat du minute qu'il est venu dedans la scène musicale. Il est venu de l'école du Grand Kalle mais il a préparé clairement pour faire son marque propre comme un chanteur. Après tout, il a déjà fait un orchestre qui avait popularité énorme dans la scène musicale Kinoise (Africa Choc) avec son ami d'enfance Papy Tex. Aditionellement, Pépé Kalle était déjà dans son chemin pour travailler avec les individus comme Seskain Molenga avant la préparation de son orchestre officiel L'Empire Bakuba. Finalement, Pepe Kalle avait beaucoup de confiance que j'ai parlé déjà avant. Cette confiance le traversait partout sa carrière dans les bons temps et les mauvais temps. 

Aussi, probablement il y aurait un grand plus conflit entre Franco et Verckys. Parce que je sais bien que Verckys et Franco refuseraient entrer une meme une même chambre. 

Finalement, Franco n'avait pas besoin réellement de Pepe Kalle. Il avait déjà des chanteurs comme Josky Kiambukuta, Ntesa Dalienst et Ndombe Opetum. Ces chanteurs étaient solide pour chanter des chansons dans le style de Franco. Franco était une légende prochaine. Franco faisait des chansons classiques avec beaucoup de chanteurs. Franco était dans le chemin pour devenir un des grands du tout le temps. Franco changeait déjà sa musique en plus du style musical de l'África Jazz. Ça va dire la musique du style musical de L'Africa Fiesta.

Why Pepe Kalle was right not joining OK Jazz of Franco?

 

Hello everyone. I hope you are well. I am doing a controversial post. I mean two. It is about Franco and Pepe Kalle. I did posts of Franco vs Pepe Kalle. This time I will speak on Pepe Kalle being a employee of Franco. I said that. Well I don't think that  but there are people that say that Pepe Kalle would have been better under someone else. There are some who say that Pepe Kalle would have better been with Franco and there are some who say that Pepe Kalle was good on his own. 

This case will be about on why Pepe Kalle was right not joining OK Jazz of Franco? 

I will give you seven reasons why Pepe Kalle made the right choice not joining Franco's Le TPOK Jazz.

1)  Papy Tex would be on his own or have to play for another band. 

2) Pepe Kalle would have only done nzonzings with Papy Tex. 

3) Madilu probably would have never been in OK Jazz. 

4) Pepe Kalle already had a band that was doing very good in the Congolese Music Scene.

5) Franco was not in urgent need of a individual like Pepe Kalle.

6) Franco and Verckys would have a bigger conflict. 

7) Pepe Kalle was meant to be his own star. 

Final reason is the most important why. In my view, Pepe Kalle was born to be his own star. He was meant to lead a band. In addition, he had his childhood friend Papy Tex and later on with another friend Dilu Dilumona. 

Pepe Kalle was someone who was a superstar from the minute he came into the music scene. He was from Grand Kalle school but he was clearly set to make his own mark as a singer. After all, he already had a group that was pretty popular at the local Kinshasa music scene (Africa Choc) with his childhood friend Papy Tex. In addition, Pepe Kalle was on his way to work with individuals like Seskain Molenga before preparing for an official band called Empire Bakuba. Finally, Pepe Kalle was a very confident which I spoke before. This confidence helped him keep his career going with the good and the bad times. 

Also, perhaps there would have been a bigger conflict between Franco and Verckys. Because I am sure Verckys and Franco would not even want to be in the same room. 

Finally, Franco did not really need Pepe Kalle. He already had likes of Josky Kiambukuta, Ntesa Dalienst, and Ndombe Opetum. Those singers were solid to sing on Franco style songs. Franco was a legend in making. Franco made great classic songs with different kind of singers. Franco was on his way to become one of the all time greats. Franco already changed his music to more African Jazz style music. In other words, "Africa Fiesta Style of Music".

Franco- FABRICE (1983)

 

Hello everyone. I want to do a post on this classic work. 

It is Chez Fabrice a Bruxxelles. It is a great work from Franco and Le TPOK Jazz. It was released in 1983. This album is a important for three reasons.

1) Some notable OKJ singers left. I mean Ndombe Opetum, Djo Mpoyi, Diatho Lukoki and Wuta Mayi. Wuta Mayi would go to form a band with Nyboma called 4 Etoiles. Djo Mpoyi would go to do some solo adventure and do some songs with Diatho of a side band Tiers Monde. Ndombe would form Tiers Cooperation with Sam Mangwana before Diatho and Djo would join Ndombe on that band after Sam went for another adventure. 

2) Franco rediscovered a passion in making duets with the song Non. 

3) It was beginning of the star of Madilu System.

This album was where Madilu System would finally breakthrough after years of having no luck with end of Bakuba Mayopi. But on this song, Madilu restarted his stardom and fans of OKJ began to notice him. They enjoyed his voice a lot. When you listen to Non, you notice it sounds a little different from his usual style. Well it was designed that way. If Franco had it his way, no way Madilu would have sung this song. In fact he made this song for another individual. Who was it? Josky Kiambukuta. Wait? JOSKY, Really? Yes. Well according to Madilu anyway. He claimed that he wanted this song to be for Josky. Very interesting but then again Josky was nicknamed Djosex for love songs. After all, Josky was Franco's favorite singer for a long time. He often selected Josky to sing in his songs. I mean Josky even co-sang lead Franco's TOKOMA BACAMARADE. So I can see why Franco wanted Josky. But Josky surprisingly refused. Also, he did not look for Ntesa Dalienst which is shocking considering that Ntesa and Franco had a great complimentary sound together. Franco was apparently mad because he could not get a singer. Funny enough, Madilu said Franco even wanted Nyboma and Wuta Mayi who then formed 4 Etoiles as I mentioned before with Syran Mbenza and Bopol. Then, Madilu said that he sung a little vocal but Franco wanted Tabu Ley but thanks to Franco's wife, the song officially went to Madilu as Franco's duet partner. You know the rest is history for the beginning of Madilu's reign on OKJ after 1983.

Also comes the good harmony of Josky Kiambukuta, Madilu System and Ntesa Dalienst. It would be showed on the songs Freins a main (handbrake) and Second Version of Fabrice which is known as 5 Ans Ya Fabrice (5 years of Fabric). These songs also showed Franco's ability to give storytelling while singing at the same time. I saw the great emotion and passion of Josky, Madilu and Ntesa in the choirs. This showed how good Franco was at assembling great singers together. He did once with Josky, Ndombe and Ntesa or Josky, Pepe Ndombe and Youlou Mabiala or Diatho Lukoki, Josky and Ntesa. This one was no exception. Franco was a great musical genius not only on guitar but also getting great singers in order to great harmony for all OKJ fans to enjoy.  

Another part of Madilu's rise into OKJ had a part of another individual who people often compare Madilu to. Well vocally speaking anyway. Also this man really was loved by Franco. I am speaking about Pepe Kalle. Pepe Kalle was a big star in Congo at the time and he was impressing big stars. While Franco pretended to be scared of Zaiko Langa Langa, in reality he feared Pepe Kalle much more that he attempted to actually get him into OKJ. But the problem was that Pepe Kalle wanted to be his own man and respectfully declined to join OK Jazz. Franco was very angry about this that he was determined to find a "Pepe Kalle" prototype. He would get his wish after finding Madilu and getting success with him on the song Non. Madilu's star rose as Pepe Kalle started to make noise around the periods of 1985 to 1988. Franco and Pepe Kalle found that they had a lot of things in common. Papy Tex had remarked that Franco and Pepe Kalle would do some games together while Papy Tex would not want to participate. Also Franco preferred Empire Bakuba over Zaiko Langa Langa behind the scenes. THAT IS THE TRUTH. According to Papy Tex, Franco was a important partner to Empire Bakuba and he did a lot for them to get more access. 

That leads to my series that I am going to do? Should Pepe Kalle have joined OK Jazz? That is a tough question. Yes and No. It is really 50 and 50. I did often say that Dr. Nico should have joined Franco (and I insist on it today) because Franco could handle anyone. I am sure Franco could have managed Pepe Kalle very well. 

I will give two sides of the coin. Seven reasons why Pepe Kalle should not have joined OK Jazz and Seven reasons why Pepe Kalle should have joined OK Jazz. 

Dream Duet: Josky Kiambukuta and Papy Tex (JOSKY TRIBUTE)

This is Josky tribute time. We lost a great singer who was sick but not sick enough where he was near it. So we will do a Dream Duet edition in tribute to Josky. This singer was among the co-founders of Empire Bakuba. 

Ces chanteurs faisaient beaucoup de chansons romantiques pour nous. Il faut que nous aimons leurs chansons romantiques tous les jours. Avec ces hommes et leurs chansons amoureuses, nous trouverons l'espoir en amour. Cet homme serait un individu bien-fait pour la musique de Josky Kiambukuta Djo Sex Le Commandant D'Abord. Mais c'est qui? 

I am speaking of Jean Dode Matolu better known as Papy Tex. He is known as a great friend and a great music collaborator of Pepe Kalle. Unlike Pepe Kalle, Papy Tex was very good with making sweet love songs. Something Josky was also very good at. No wonder why he was called Djo Sex. I wonder why Papy Tex was not called something closed to that. Anyway, Josky and Papy Tex were very good at pleasing women and making them wonder about their love lives. That is when you know  that you are good with romance in music. 

One big reason why Josky and Papy Tex should have worked together is because they are from the same Tabu Ley school. Their vocal tones are somewhat identical in a sense where they are emotional but also romantic which is why many ladies loved them. That was something Tabu Ley was very good at. Their ability to be emotional but yet romantic at the same time helped them become valuable singers.

These songs would have been very good for Josky and Papy Tex. I think the songs that would that be the best to do is Papy Tex's Aideu Leya, Josky's Mehida and Grand Kalle's Coco qui est la. These songs would have shown the beautiful harmonies between Josky and Papy Tex. Papy Tex is from Grand Kalle music of singing. Josky is a product of Africa Jazz vis a vis of Africa Fiesta style of singing. Aideu Leya would work because Josky is good at giving emotions in a song and this song is very personal from Papy Tex and Papy would have appreciated Josky's musical support in a emotional sense. Mehida would work very well because I felt there was a little off balance between the harmonies. I felt this song was a more of a two part choir part. One person who would have improved this song would have been Papy Tex. Josky and Papy Tex would have made the song more complete also Papy's high singing was very good usually. Coco qui est la would also be very good because Papy Tex would have made his own twist in this romantic hit. This song is in fact like hide and seek. I know that Papy Tex was known for this in his love songs. Then add Josky's voice with Papy, you are talking two men who effectively can sing this Grand Kalle song with more convincing. 

Josky and Papy Tex would have been a great musical duo for a nzonzing project especially with the songs Aideu Leya, Mehida and Coco qui est la. 

Prophétie song of Benz Petrole (ELBA TOP A)

I have been lately listening to the song Prophétie. It is song composed by Benz Pétrole. I want to mention this because I have been listening to the song. I love how this song goes because you have four great singers that I enjoy listening to. I am speaking of Elba Kuluma, Suzuki Luzubu 4x4, Desouza Santu and Nyboma Mwandido. 

But largely why I mentioned this song is because it is about prophesying. Now that is not something I do much because I am not sure how can life can be. 

Two years ago, I did a dream trio album which I did in French because I was aiming at these three singers. 
Trio de Rêve Album: Les Beaux Gars Volume 2: Ballou Canta, Elba Top A et Papy Tex  

It was a trio album where I was putting songs for dream trio. That would be Ballou Canta, Elba Top A and Papy Tex. The chance of them singing together let alone doing a album is 2 percent chance which I understand since they are at different stages of their careers. They also sung with Pepe Kalle at different stages in their careers. 

Now weeks ago, Elba Top A himself commented which surprised me considering that I posted this from more than a year ago. It looks like people and/or someone send him this article and he really liked it which does make me happy. 

Now the question is who will have the courage to get these three singers together. We will wait and see. 

Est-ce qu'il est possible pour les nouvelles versions de l'OK Jazz et l'Empire Bakuba

  

Bonjour à tous. Espérons que tout le monde vit en sécurité totale pendant ces saisons bizarres que nous voyons tous les jours dans nos vies ce qui est globale totalement. Dans ces temps, je me pose une question. Cette question ne devrait soit jamais posé mais je vais le poser en tout cas. 

Est-ce qu'il est possible pour les nouvelles versions des grands orchestres congolais. Je vais parler du TPOK Jazz et Empire Bakuba. Ils étaient aux mains du deux rois Franco et Pepe Kalle. Franco a décédé dans l'année 1989 et Pepe Kalle a décédé dans l'année 1998. La camarade de Franco qui s'appelle Simaro a décédé dans l'année 2019. Les amis proches de Pepe Kalle qui s'appellent Dilu Dilumona et Papy Tex sont vivant encore. Quelques gens diseront oui et les autres diseront non. 

Voici ma réponse 

Je vis dire oui. Voici les raisons lesquelles qu'ils seront une bonne chose pour nous. D'Abord, il y a des gens qui ont desir encore pour la musique rumba odemba dans le côté de L'OK Jazz et la musique Soukous classique dans le côté de L'Empire Bakuba. Je veux dire que le fils de Franco qui s'appelle Emongo avait un grand succès avec sa version dans les manières inimaginables aux quelques critiques. Mais Emongo est un homme d'affaire avec son identité propre et il doit travailler raisonablement puis il a du temps qu'il peut avoir des fêtes avec ses amis et sa famille. Je sais très bien que Franco serait très fier de son fils et sa fille Sonya qui est une femme d'affaire avec son affaire propre. La famille de Pepe Kalle va bien dans leurs chemins propres. Un de ses fils vis en France avec sa famille propre. Une fille de Pepe Kalle vit aux États-Unis en ville de Chicago de l'état de L'Illinois avec sa famille propre. Finalement, son fils Fiston reste à Kinshasa comme un chanteur fameux. Il était un membre du groupe Wenge Maison Mère du chanteur Werrason. Aujourd'hui, il est un membre du groupe La Villa Nola du chanteur Fabregas Métis Noir. Il trouve son chemin au succès maintenant. 

Deuxième raison vient de fils du feu Djo Mpoyi qui a groupe ce qui s'appelle Djo Mpoyi Mania avec la mission pour revivre les grandes classiques de L'OK Jazz. Il s'appelle Erick Mpoyi. Il est le patron de cet orchestre avec l'aide son gerant Helene qui est un mélomane profond de la musique Rumba Odemba. Il démontre qu'il est très possible pour revivre la grande musique classique que beaucoup de gens aimaient et les gens comme moi qui aiment de l'écouter. 

Raison Finale vient de manque de la nouvelle musique dans la scène congolaise musicale et il n'a pas beaucoup d'orchestres congolais ce qui vient des problèmes que je n'ai pas du temps pour expliquer. J'entends les gens qui disent qu'il n'y a pas beaucoup de la nouvelle musique pendant ces jours. 

Ces sont des raisons lesquelles je pense que c'est le moment pour les nouvelles versions de L'Empire Bakuba et L'OK Jazz mais voici ils doivent faire pour un succès garanti. Mais avant je parle des étapes, je dois donner mes propositions de quelles villes ou les musiciens peuvent vivre.

Ces orchestres auraient besoin de choisir quel emplacement ou les emplacements qu'ils seront tous d'accord de vivre de faire paix entre eux-memes.  

Je reviens comment ces orchestres auront du succès sans trop de soucis. Voici les étapes. 
1) Savoir absoulement quelle direction que cet orchestre ira sous? 

2) Établit les règles

3) Un accord entre les membres sur quelles chansons qu'ils vont chanter ensemble. 

4) Faire un contrat pour tous les musiciens que chaque musicien lit les mots dans le contrat et s'il y a des ennuis et des disputes, puis ils vont faire des compromis pour la paix entre tous les musiciens. 

5) Faire un dialogue avec les musiciens populaires du passé sur le bon et le mauvais du travail musical. 

L'Étape finale sera très important pour chaque orchestre avec L'Empire Bakuba en particulier. Il y a un peu de musiciens de L'OK Jazz qui sont vivant mais il y a beaucoup de musiciens de L'Empire Bakuba qui sont vivant avec ses deux présidents Dilu Dilumona et Papy Tex. Les gens de L'Empire Bakuba doivent parler ouvertement avec Papy Tex dans le conseil sur comment gérer le groupe pour la stabilité et l'harmonie dans l'orchestre ce qui les aideront au mauvais temps avec les disputes, les défis, les conflits, les désaccords et les arguments. Papy Tex sait toutes les réalités qu'il vivait avec ses amis Dilu Dilumona et Pepe Kalle pour 26 ans, donc il sera celui qui peut aider ces musiciens. Pour les musiciens de L'OK Jazz, ils devraient parler avec le chanteur charmant Erick Mpoyi puisqu'il a la bonne voix et il peut démontre ces musiciens comment faire des belles harmonies vocales. Erick Mpoyi sera celui qui peut donner ces mucisiens la direction pour un peu de temps puis il peut revenir et donner ses attentions à son orchestre propre Djo Mpoyi Mania. J'espèrai que ces musiciens écouteraient et ils prennent les leçons du grand Erick Mpoyi. 

Mais ce qu'est important que je veux dire c'est que je pense que les nouvelles versions de L'OK Jazz et L'Empire Bakuba ne sont pas une mauvais initiative au tout. Ils peuvent avoir du succès s'ils prennent des étapes que je propose et ils ont la bonne volonté dans leurs coeurs, puis ils peuvent revenir les bonnes mémoires du passé mais dans le même temps, ils feront leur marque déposée propre. 

Dream Trio: Kester Emeneya, Madilu and Papy Tex

Hello everyone. I got a Papy Tex special for everyone's heart. I will do a dream trio. I have found two singers that should have sung with Papy Tex on a nzonzing record if you were asking me. 

They are late second voice singers King Kester Emeneya and Grand Ninja Madilu System. These men would have been perfect candidates for a Papy Tex nzonzing record. Think of how much control that Papy would have with these two men at his side. Since he is tenor, he would able to get these men straight to his ears on how he wants them to sing. Kester and Madilu were second voice singers. I am sure that they would have worked hard to please Papy Tex. 

Papy Tex is actually a good composer as a singer. He knows how to make good melody as a composer. Kester and Madilu would have enjoyed Papy's ability of making great melody with his artistic skills.

Kester Emeneya apparently took some influence from Papy Tex and he used some of his emotional gimmicks for his singing.  

Madilu definitively fitted well with Papy's voice much more than anyone else including Pepe Kalle though Papy and Pepe were a great duo. Hear the song Plus Jamais, you will get my point from there. Madilu and Papy Tex were a better musical match than Madilu was with Nyboma. 

One song that would have been perfect for them would have been Phono where Kester would give a more different take on his anger towards Jimmy Mukelenge who was the main subject of the original song Phono. Kester would do the co-vocals while Madilu and Papy Tex would harmonize perfectly. 

Do you think Kester-Madilu-Papy Tex would have been a perfect trio or not? I say yes.

Voici les chansons qui seront parfait pour les vieux de la musique congolaise. Je parle du président actuel de L'Empire Bakuba Papy Tex, l'ancien chanteur du Bana OK et le Kamikaze Loningisa Elba Top A et l'ancien chanteur du Soukous Stars Ballou Canta. Ces hommes sont mes chanteurs préférés maintenant. J'aime leurs voix trop. Je pense pour s'ils chantent ensemble, je pense qu'il y aura de la belle harmonie. 

Nous avons trois chanteurs qui sont grand et ils pouvent chanter ensemble dans mon opinion. Ils ont de la capacité pour chanter ensemble. Ils sont different de l'un l'autre. Papy Tex chante dans son ténor avec quelque emotion. Ballou Canta chante dans son ténor ou contreténor avec beaucoup de romance et séduction dans son coeur. Ne me crois pas, écouter à son album Boboto. Il dira toutes les choses que je parle de Ballou Canta. Elba Top A chante comme un homme charmant avec son baryton. Ils auraient une belle force ensemble dans mon opinion. J'espère qu'un jour, nous aurons ces hommes ensemble dans un concert notable et les fanatiques de ces hommes auraient un bel ambiance ensemble.

Dream Trio: Defao, Kester Emeneya, Werrason

Hello friends, I am ready to do a dream trio that some people will hate with passion. Deep passion but I will do it. 

I am going to do a dream trio that should have happened with the Generation Zaiko with Generation Wenge. I am talking about Le Grand General Defao, King Kester Emeneya, and Roi de forêt Werrason. These three would have been the great trio in the age of Wenge and Zaiko. Why? 

I will give some reasons
1) Werrason is not a great singer but he can sing well in a structured choir 
2) Kester Emeneya is so diverse with his voice that it can move in any direction that you see fit
3) Kester Emeneya and Werrason sound similar but you can put them in different roles regarding choirs.
4) Defao can add the energy with choir alongside Kester Emeneya and Werrason
5) Defao sounds like Pepe Kalle 
6) It can act like Empire Bakuba 

If this trio existed, you would see Empire Bakuba like voices in a given song. But there is a twist. Usually Pepe Kalle and Dilu Dilumona are the low range singers but this case the "Pepe Kalle" and "Dilu Dilumona" are a bit different. Defao would play the Dilu Dilumona role and Werrason would play the Pepe Kalle role while Kester Emeneya would play the Papy Tex. Kester is able to sing high notes better than the other two, so he would be the "high range" singer. 

I am not saying that Werrason sounds like Pepe Kalle nor Defao sounds like Dilu Dilumona or Kester Emeneya sounds like Papy Tex. But I am only speaking how they would likely sing if they sang together in a song or songs. However as I said before, Defao sounds similar to Pepe Kalle. Dilu Dilumona did sing on a Defao song which he sang alongside Likinga Redo. 

Now Defao did work with Werrason on his Bana Congo album and Werrason also worked with Kester Emeneya on a song from the album "Toujours Humble". Though Werrason did not sing alongside with them, I do think if they did sing all together, it would be a well arranged choir. That is my opinion. 

Dream Trio: Madilu System, Nzaya Nzayadio and Papy Tex

 

I had a big dream one time of having these three men singing together in a place where I would enjoy. This will never happen but if it did, I would have been the happiest man alive.

I was imagining a scenario where I would have these three men singing together in a big stadium. They were Madilu System, Nzaya Nzayadio, and Papy Tex. Then I had a post where I would have wanted them to sing on. This remix that was done by Madilu and Papy Tex together.

Because if you had Nzaya Nzayadio in that song which Papy Tex and Madilu sang, you would have the complete package.

Does BIYA CHANTE equal PEPE KALLE

I have a question that has entered my mind. Now as many know here, I am a fanatic of Franco and Pepe Kalle. Pepe Kalle died on November 28, 1998 and ironically just two days later, he would have been 47 years old. He was born today. He was born a Kinshasa boy of I believe about 12 to 15 siblings in his family. It is also believed that Pepe Kalle himself had about 12 children. I know one of them lives in France. Few live in Europe. 

Pepe Kalle was a great singer and he was able to sing and make everyone touched. He touched some few young people that now love his music to death. I am one of them. I am a fanatic of his. I love his music very often. From 1970s up to his death. He always knew how to hit you with a unique song. He sang with Nyboma, Papy Tex, Papa Wemba, Dilu Dilumona, Soki Vangu, and others. It is just unique for me. I really love his music and remain a major fan of his for a long time. 

 

PEPE KALLE 

BIYA CHANTE

But let's get into what I am going to ask. One person claims he is more like Pepe Kalle than anyone else. Guess who? If you think Biya Chante, you are right. He may have a point. Well not long ago, he declared to the whole Congolese music lover community that every time you see him, you see Pepe Kalle. Now some people were happy he made that statement but others said he crossed the line. 

Here is my opinion on this. While I agree that Biya Chante is not a superstar like Pepe but here is Biya has a great point. Listen, Pepe Kalle and Biya Chante sound so similiar. In fact, there were moments I thought that was Pepe when it was actually Biya Chante himself. Of course Dilu Dilumona and Pepe Kalle sound similiar but it is much easier to see the difference. Dilu is too monolithic in my opinion and kind of boring. In addition, Pepe Kalle hired Biya Chante for a reason because Biya sounded much more like him than Dilu ever did in his life. Furthermore, Biya Chante in a sense was a better singer than Pepe in the sense where his voice was much soulful than Pepe himself.

Pepe Kalle was a more smooth singer. His voice always had a tendency to smooth. So even if someone sounded like him, they could sing with him since Pepe was very smooth. Look at instance Defao. Many argue that Defao and Pepe Kalle sound too much alike. However, Defao has much more force in his voice. As result, Defao and Pepe Kalle could sing together in a choir. Song I am referring is to Luciyana. 

But Biya Chante was a more soul singer. His voice was deep and very sexy. I mean I have never seen a Congolese singer have so much of a soulful voice. I mean Biya Chante voice is so deep that you wonder why he is singing and is giving his voice. I mean when Biya Chante does Pepe Kalle songs, he can make it his own. That speaks volume on Biya's voice itself. It is just too great. 

Yes Biya Chante does equal Pepe Kalle when it pertains to voice.

Likinga Redo no more

Man I could not see this coming even with a old artist like this man. This man has had problems in the past and he had great troubles prior to his unfortunate death. 

Well I am speaking about the death and unpextated one from Likinga Redo. He was 59 years old when he died. He died on August 8, 2013. This death stunned and I just could not believe it. I found this out from former Zaiko Langa Langa singer Adamo Ekula. 

Well let me speak on this great Artist Mr. Likinga Redo. I know that this man began his music career with Empire Bakuba led by Pepe Kalle (who is no longer here). Likinga would appear in songs like Calvaire, and Montesse. Then in 1976, he officially became a memeber of Zaiko Langa Langa. This time he sang with Nyoka Longo, Lenga Lenga (Ya Lengos), and Bimi Ombale. They made some great songs and being able to produce some dynamic dances. Likinga Redo produced one song that was popular for him. That song is Viya. This song got Likinga Redo in a unique place. He was beginning to develop his own identity. Zaiko was starting to become a important band alongside Empire Bakuba de Pepe Kalle. 

Likinga Redo was said to a drug habit and clearly some one was not happy about it. After he releasd his other song Antalia, he got caught with drugs in Portugal in 1983. This led to his arrest and as result he was in jail for five years. 

Likinga Redo got a tribute song while he was in jail. That was his old friend Pepe Kalle. He made the tribute Souci ya Likinga. This song became pretty popular around the Kinshasa scene in 1986. 

Redo got out of jail in 1988 to join Zaiko Familia Dei de Pablo. But he did last there long. Then Likinga Redo had really became a session singer releasing a few albums. But Likinga Redo was not the same and despite making great music, people seemed to have enough of Likinga and he had became a shadow of himself. 

Then in 2002, he worked with former Empire Bakuba mate Papy Tex on their work together called Mon Bebe. This would be Likinga's last music before he went fully into Christian music. That could be seen with Soeur Lumumba around the 2006 period. After that, Redo had privately lived his life. 

It was said that Likinga Redo had suffered dementia-disease for five months before his unfortunate death. Strange for me, because Likinga had indicated some time ago, he was ready to get his life back on his own Facebook. Of course, Likinga died on August 8, 2013. 

It is ashame that he is gone and I will forever miss him. His music will live on.

A deeper meaning of the song MABELE RICHE

It is my brother's 17th birthday. My brother turned 17 years old today. Well I had a very good weekend. So I went into my father's car and we were listening to the song MABELE RICHE. This is a Empire Bakuba song with Papy Tex singing lead with Pepe Kalle backing up as well the great animator Djouna Mumbafu with the song composed by rhythm guitarist Elvis Kunku. I actually do like this song in a some unique way. So I did listen to the song and there I discovered something. I heard the name Emoro. I knew he was mentioned as he did die in 1992 during the Empire Bakuba's Zambia tour. It turns there it something more than I intially thought.

It turns out that this song does actually focus on one person. That was late dwarf man Emoro. Those who don't know Emoro, he was a Empire Bakuba dwarf. He was the original dwarf before Dokolos took over. Jolie Bebe was the female dwarf. Emoro was a very entertaining man but he was also a provactive man. In fact the reason why Emoro was pretty much popular was because of his provactive moves especially doing the WAWAWA. That meant Emoro literally humped on female dancers. I guess that might explain Emoro's later health problems he had during the early 1990s although he looked so fine health wise. Well during Empire Bakuba's highlight African tour, Emoro passed away.

So Elvis Kunku composed a song in tribute to Emoro. Papy Tex the singer speaks about how Emoro's life was not just a great for him but it is a great life for the world to especially Empire Bakuba people. Also Papy sings that our soil goes back to our land that we originally came from. Pepe Kalle basically says that we miss Emoro and we have to continue life without Emoro.

What I see is that it is very clear that Empire Bakuba personnels were deeply hurt by the death of Emoro and they made a song just for him. I understand him. Emoro was someone who knew how to entertain and his death was indeed shocking. Even worse, 6 years later, Pepe Kalle passed away. It is unfortunate. Empire Bakuba has never been the same since Pepe Kalle died. Papy Tex is the leader of the band but he had a tough time making the band great again.

PEPE KALLE SPECIAL: TWO MASTERPIECES

I am so happy today to present you with a special of my second idol: PEPE KALLE. This man was a unique star in Zaire who made dynamic songs during the 1990s era. This was the man who was able to shine on stage and give you his legendary skills.

I am focusing here in the early 1990s period that really made Pepe Kalle a legend as he is known today. I am going to focus on two works that Pepe Kalle did. One is with Empire Bakuba and the other one is not with Empire Bakuba. They are Divise Par Duex and Gerant.

Divise Par Duex is one of the best masterpieces of Empire Bakuba and Pepe Kalle. This work was a unique work from Empire Bakuba. You had all the styles that was unique. You had the fast Kwasa Kwasa and more slower kwasa kwasa. This was a unique way to make great music. Pepe Kalle was the heart behind this great project. Also we had the great introduction of Djodjo Ikomo with his classic song Soso Ya Tongo. This song had him shine so well. We also had the beginning of Blaise Matadidi who would make some great impact being with Empire Bakuba. Papy Tex does an excellent job singing  Elvis Kunku's song Mabele Riche. Those songs are so much of a genius. Pepe Kalle was the boss on this project as he made three important songs. They are Divise Par Duex, Monano, and Mama Leki Ndeya. These songs made Pepe Kalle so unique. He sang so well in all of them. The song that stood out to me as a Pepe Kalle fan was the song called Mama Leki Ndeya. Pepe Kalle was singing about how lucky life was for the mom and how Pepe Kalle wished the mom very good luck and very good health. Pepe Kalle sang that song so perfect. Plus the song had a perfect sebene. I could not get enough of it. Also we had a banging sebene with the great animations of Djouna Mumbafu and great guitars equals with a great song. It show cased the greatness and the importance of Pepe Kalle. Pepe Kalle showcase his great vocals at the right time. Divise Par Duex has become a great success with Empire Bakuba and Pepe Kalle coming together to make some masterpieces that are memorable.

Pepe Kalle made a great solo work. That solo work would become a great success. That LP is called "GERANT". This was the LP that made the legend of Pepe Kalle and made Pepe Kalle the superstar that we know today. Also we saw Pepe Kalle just show all his stuff from vocals to commenting to animating. We witness his diversity type from speaking French, and Lingala to Swahili and Tshiluba. We got two great songs that defined Pepe Kalle today. They are Roger Milla and Gerant. Gerant speaks about being a manager and doing things and dealing with ideas as becoming a manager. Pepe Kalle speaks about being a manager in Europe and how hard it is to be an effective manager. Roger Milla is the song that dedicates to the the great soccer of Cameroon name Roger Milla. Roger Milla was the hero of the 1990 Africa Cup with making some memorable goals. Also Roger Milla was 38 years old at that time. What a time to remember. Pepe Kalle sang the song so well and he made some exciting announcements after Roger Milla made his goals and made his dances that were so interesting. Pepe Kalle knew how to make masterpieces. Pepe Kalle makes ordinary love songs with Pedro, and Zonga Aime where he talks about love and how he wants to be in love even if it is for very stupid reasons. He makes a cool pop song Bayi Seyo where he sings perfectly with some female singers like Abby Suriya, and other female singers. Pepe Kalle just sings that cool pop song with major grace. Pepe Kalle speaks two other languages. The are Swahili and Tshiluba. His Swahili song was Shikambo Seye (or hidaya). That song he speaks how he will save Hidaya from danger and that sort. You will also notice Pepe Kalle speak tshiluba. They are two songs where he does so. They are Muyenga and Bitota. With Bitota, Pepe Kalle does the Mutuashi rhythm and does all his singing in Tshiluba and speaks about Bitota. With Muyenga, it deals with death. He talks about losing people and figures such as Dr. Nico (Nico Kasanda) and Franco (Francois Lwanza Luambo Makiadi). Pepe Kalle had clear respect for Franco too. This LP was Pepe Kalle's best nzongzing in 1990s and the top five Lps of Nzongzing during the 1990s era. Pepe Kalle had some good singers like Likinga Redo, Ballou Canta, Nyboma, and Luciana. Pepe Kalle had master guitarists of soukous like Beniko Popilipo, Dally Kimoko, Lokassa Ya Mbongo, and Nguma Lokito. He also had Souzy Kasseya who was a interesting all around guitarist. Gerant was a great work and I want others to have it too. This Lp was the reason why Pepe Kalle was called Giantafrique.

Correction. I got rid some of the words because I misspoke. I apologize to the boss of africambiance for mispeaking about her. I meant to say that the song was a satire tribute to her. I will not her name. You figure that out yourself.

Empire Bakuba- MAMIE 1992

Now I am going to rant on this work that was done by the great band itself Empire Bakuba. I mean the work that I consider to be one of Papy Tex's masterpieces as the second hand man of Empire Bakuba. The work he made on this work was his 1992 acclaimed LP called MAMIE.

This work is one of the best Papy Tex made work with Empire Bakuba. This album begins a great song called Jordan with the great voices of Papy Tex and Djodjo Ikomo and of course don't forget the great voice of Pepe Kalle. This song had a excellent sebene. Also don't forget the other song Music Clarification with Papy Tex showcasing his greatness and how important he was to many people. I say this because Papy Tex sings well and the guitars until it is the time for the animation of Djouna Mumbafu. Also I enjoy the rumba song Ivetibi because Papy Tex is once ready to express himself prefectly and he is ready to showcase his importantce.

Now you are able to see Papy Tex shine a bit himself on the two other songs Sinita and Aideu Laya. Adieu Laya has a interesting aspect. I mean first time we see Bovi Mukoko and Papy Tex sing together and then the second part where we hear some Papy Tex sing with Pepe Kalle.

But the song that really stands out is the song MAMIE. This record, you see that there are just great singing together. I mean you got a dream team on this song. You got the personnels of Doris Ebuya, Gode Lofombo, Papy Tex, Djodjo Ikomo, Bovi Mukoko, Pepe Kalle, Elvis Nkunku, and Djouna Mumbafu. This song just equal major gold as soon as this song came out. I hope people can get this record and enjoy this great record.
